Living a Ministry

So my mom and I go to the gym together, and there's this lady she knows there from her bible study. The gal she knows knows I'm her daughter, and always chats to my mom, yet never even acknowledges I exist. Not so much as a good morning, a smile, or even a nod.
I brushed it off, until one night at church. I saw her there as a GREETER. Her ministry was to greet people, make them feel welcome, try to plug people in, and converse with people. She wasn't living her ministry.
Then it hit me, how are ways where I don't always serve or love, especially to others.

Philippians 2:3

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

  1. Oh, but if we would all succeed in "being" our ministry rather than settling for occasionally "doing" it...
